THE FACTS

Silumka Jika from Protea Glen, Soweto told SunDefender that he was employed as a teacher.

He said he had a temporary contract but when he left he wasn’t paid his provident funds. He came to the SunDefender for help.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to the Government Pensions Administration Agency to find out if there was any payment due to Silumka.

SOLUTION

Katlego Tselapedi from the agency said that according to their records Silumka was still in service.

If he did terminate his service then it means they are still waiting for withdrawal documents from the department of education.
