ANDREW MAJADIBODU from Modimolle, Limpopo, said he worked for the Reinforcing Steel Company until he was retrenched in 2013. Since then, he has not received any provident fund money that he applied for the same year. He wrote to the SunDefender for help.
WHAT I DID
I spoke to the Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators for feedback regarding his claim.
SOLUTION
Daphne Farrel from the administrators advised that Andrew needed to visit the provident fund’s office to complete the forms again. He was sent a letter in 2015 regarding his bank account that was closed, but he didn’t respond to it. When he goes to the office he should make sure he has a copy of his bank statement with him.
