THE FACTS

MAHLULANKUNA Nkuna from Doornkop, Soweto, had worked for Len Electrical from 2000 to 2004.

In 2005, he claimed for his surplus and provident funds but has never had an update on the progress of his claim.

He contacted the SunDefender to seek help.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to the Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators, and I asked them to check for me if Mahlulankuna’s claim has been received and about payment.

SOLUTION

Lebogang Tshabalala from the fund administrators confirmed they checked on the system and it turned out Mahlulankuna couldn’t be traced.

Mahlulankuna has been advised to check with his provident fund administrator, send a previous statement, membership card, ID number and any other proof by post immediately.
