SEASON two of Daily Sun’s much-loved show Sun’Ceda, which aims to help SunReaders with their daily problems, is almost over.
Host Stoan Seate told the People’s Paper he’s proud of what they’ve achieved so far this season.
“Last year when the new season ended, I wasn’t sure which direction we were going to take in terms of the new season, but looking at all the episodes, I am proud of all we’ve achieved because we were able to leave a mark in so many people’s lives,” he said.
“I am proud the show has also proven that not only poverty-stricken people need help, also some unsung heroes in our communities need help, because government is doing little or nothing to assist them in their bid of bettering our communities and today’s episode will be a perfect example.”
The Bongo Maffin group member also said he was grateful to sponsor 1Life for carrying them through the season and for being a major player. This week, Stoan drove all the way to Tembisa, Ekurhuleni and will be introducing Mzansi to Nonjabulo Maseko, who is a counsellor.
Nonjabulo’s daughter Jabulile wrote to Sun’Ceda asking for help.
According to Stoan, Nonjabulo runs a trauma counselling centre in her community out of her garage.
“She has a very warm heart and her story melted me, because of how selfless she is.
“She works with women and little kids in the community, counselling them for the trauma they have experienced in their lives, such as GBV at the hands of their partners, but it’s not limited to that,” he said.
