HOW TO GET YOUR STOKVEL GAME ON!

accreditation

NORTH WEST stokvel groups and burial societies are invited to attend the stokvel expo taking place today and tomorrow at Brazil Stadium.

The 2017 StokvelEx Bokone Bophirima aims to encourage the spirit of togetherness among stokvel members, service providers and informal businesses owners, and allow them to share valuable information.

StokvelEx was formed in partnership with the department of finance, economy and enterprise development in order to help stokvel members become financially independent and learn how to invest their money wisely.

People who want to know more about creating stokvels, making investments or even grocery buying strategies, but did not know how to start or where to go, now have the opportunity to learn at the expo.

There will be various exhibits ranging from financial, wholesalers, lifestyle and more such as hidden economies, stock investing, stokvel incubation and co-operatives, and starting businesses.

“By hosting this expo, the department wants to instil the spirit of entrepreneurship in stokvel members, especially those in the disadvantaged areas, and encourage them to explore the opportunities,” said MEC Wendy Nelson.

StokvelEx opens at 10am and closes late on both days.
