YOU are invited to share in celebrating a cookbook that comes out of our political history.

#MaSisulu100 Cook Book was launched by the department of tourism to celebrate Albertina Sisulu.

It is a selection of her recipes compiled by the National Youth Chefs’ Training Programme. Inspired by MaSisulu’s life as an activist and leader, the 12 chefs chose dishes to fill the 20-page limited edition book and e-book.

Speaking at the launch of the book, department spokesman Blessing Manale said: “The compilation of the #MaSisulu100 Cook Book gave us a unique opportunity to rally the youth in tourism to celebrate their political and historical heritage from a culinary perspective.

“We want to remind them of MaSisulu’s relevance in their lives as they tap into the rewards of democracy through opportunities such as the chefs’ training programme.”

The cookbook is also available for downloading when you visit the department’s website at www.tourism.gov.za
