PULANE Mota has turned her love of food into a thriving business.
She started Beastly Eats last year to highlight tasty African recipes.
After finding out that there was a huge demand for her services, she decided to rebrand and relaunch the site.
“I’m cooking the food myself and conduct interviews with aspiring and well-known chefs,” she said.
Pulane is originally from QwaQwa in the Free State but is now based in Riverlea, south-west Joburg.
She said most of her content is for her online consumers.
“I have recipes and interviews, but I’ll also be recording the cooking sessions I plan to do with some of the chefs soon.
“I seek to inspire you to grab a fork and knife or go back to your roots and dig in with your hands.”
Pulane’s African recipes taps into our family-prepared recipes.
She says her main aim is to make sure that all people get to know about the wealth of delicious food which is available in Africa.
“My favourite dish is dombolo and tripe or malamogodu, which I always ask my aunty to make for me whenever I visit home,” she said.
“I like it when it’s cooked with the minimum of spices.”
