Busy Corner Imbizo Shisanyama walked away with top honours in the search.

IMBIZO Shisanyama was named the best shisanyama in South Africa by the Windhoek Shisanyama Search.

In Shisanyama Search, chef Benny travelled Mzansi to find the best shisanyama. Two months later, the top eight finalists were revealed. They battled it out at the main event.

But it was Busy Corner Imbizo Shisanyama who walked away with the title of South Africa’s best shisanyama as well as prizes worth half a million rand.

The final shisanyama showdown took place last weekend, complemented by ice cold Windhoek Beer and great entertainers including Mo Flava, Black Motion Feat. Nokwazi, Soweto Samthing, and more.

As popular local chef, TV personality and judge, Benny said: “Each of the eight finalists brought their best to the finals, but there was only one winner. It was Imbizo’s combo of great food and attention to detail that got them the votes on the day.”

Senzosakhe Mhlongo, managing director of Imbizo Shisanyama said: “Being voted the best by consumers is the biggest prize of all – it’s a vote of confidence and confirmation of our quality offering, from the people who really count.”
