CELEBRATED Mzansi chef, TV personality and restaurateur Reuben Riffel is joining a few top chefs to show their skills at the sixth DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.
The anticipated event is happening on 22 and 23 September at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand.
Reuben, who returns by popular demand to the Vodacom music and food festival, brings his sensational Franschoek-based restaurant Reuben’s, thanks to Coca-Cola.
He will serve some of his signature dishes such as the chargrilled beef fillet with sweet soy glaze accompanied by smoked bone marrow with salsa verde, barley and beef shin ragout, carrot-tarragon puree, and umami mushroom and charged onion.
Dessert is passion fruit cheese cake with a gin-poached peach, fruit and macadamia salsa and a berry macaroon.
He said food doesn’t have to be fancy to be delicious.
“If you mess too much with food, it loses its identity. I am always looking for new ways to prepare food but simplicity is always key for me.”
Coca-Cola is sponsoring the 10 traders at the Delicious Mile on the weekend.
Soul icon Erykah Badu will be joined by New Zealand’s multi-instrument-playing Jordan Rakei; German DJ collective, Jazzanova, as well as the British acid jazz band, D-Influence.
