Ingredients
- Two and ½ pounds potatoes, peeled
- One cup all-purpose flour
- One teaspoon garlic salt
- One teaspoon onion salt
- One teaspoon regular salt
- One teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup water, or as needed
- One cup vegetable oil
PREPARATION
- Slice potatoes into chips. Put in cold water so they won’t turn brown while you prepare oil.
- Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. ) While oil is heating, sift flour, garlic salt, onion salt, regular salt and paprika in large bowl to make batter. Slowly stir in enough water so batter mix can be drizzled from spoon.
- Dip potato chips in batter one at a time, then put them in hot oil so they do not touch at first. The potatoes can stick together in clumps if they touch while being put in the hot oil.
- Fry potato chips until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
