, One and a ½ cups cake flour

, One cup sugar

, Two teaspoons baking powder

, 125g softened butter

, Two eggs

, One pinch salt

, 5ml vanilla essence or extract

, 125ml milk


  • Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a muffin tray or use paper cupcake holders.
  • Place all the ingredients in a bowl. Beat for three minutes on high using an electric beater for form batter. Spoon batter into cupcake holders, then bake for 25 minutes or until risen and golden brown.
  • Let cupcakes cool before serving.
