THE new season of the multi award-winning reality TV show, Ultimate Braai Master, is coming back!
After a two-year break, the show has an all-new format that’s full of surprises.
The show is produced by Cooked in Africa Films, and hosted by SA celebrity bush cook Justin Bonello. He will be joined by Kitchen Cowboy himself, Pete Goffe-Wood, and Tsogo Sun’s very own executive chef, Benny Masekwameng, as judges.
Mark Turner, marketing and customer director of Game stores, said they have been in discussions with the Braai Master team for some years now and were delighted to be part of the TV show.
“It is an ideal platform for us to showcase our delicious and unbeatable fresh food offerings and at the same time celebrate our rich South African food heritage,” said Turner.
Auditions for the new season were held at the beginning of this year.
Out of hundreds of applicants from across the country, only 10 teams of two will get to battle it out against each other – one braai at a time.
The teams are as follows: Monante Cuisine, Pretty Griddy, Salty Flames, Empire, The Muttonheads, Smokin’ Hot, The Explorers, The Spice Girls, The Outlaws and Ebony and Ivory
As part of a new and exciting format, this year’s prizes are bigger and better than ever before with over R1 000 000 in prizes at stake. The main haul for first place includes:
- R400 000 in cash.
- R200 000 in the form of vouchers from food sponsor Game.
- A brand new Suzuki Grand Vitara.
- A host of other prizes that will be revealed during the show.
