BAKED CHOC DOUGHNUTS

INGREDIENTS

One cup plain flour

1/3 cup castor sugar

One teaspoon baking powder

1/4 cup milk

50g butter, melted

One egg, lightly whisked

100g dark chocolate, chopped

1/2 cup thickened cream

PREPARATION

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Mix flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Make a well. Stir in milk, butter and egg until smooth.
  • Spoon mix in resealable plastic bag. Cut bag corner.
  • Pipe in 12 doughnut pans. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until skewer inserted in doughnuts comes out clean.
  • Stir chocolate and cream in saucepan over medium heat for five minutes or until smooth.
  • Set chocolate mix aside for 20 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Dip light side of doughnuts in chocolate mix.
  • Place glazed side up on a tray to set.
  • Enjoy!
