LOVELY ripe avocados make the most deliciously smooth and filling smoothies. Served made with any seasonal topping and your day will be off to a great start.
SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS
- One ripe avocado, peeled
- ½ cup plain Greek yoghurt or almond or soya milk
- One tablespoon honey
- One banana
- One tablespoon protein powder – optional
TOPPING INGREDIENTS
- Two tablespoons granola
- Seasonal berries
- One tablespoon chia seeds
- Two tablespoons granola
- Nuts and dried coconut flakes
PREPARATION
- To make the smoothie, blend all the ingredients together in a blender and whizz until smooth, then pour into a bowl or large glass.
- To make granola dust, whizz the granola in a food processor until fine or pound it old school with a pestle in a mortar.
- Top smoothie bowl with granola dust, seasonal berries, chia seeds and nuts.
Note: Change the exotic toppings for fruit or other seeds and spices you like.
