MANY pupils do not know what they want to do after school.
They are uncertain about what career to choose for their lives.
Simon Lekwape of TutorSA, an online education tool, spoke to SunEducation about career choices.
Lekwape said he found a purpose in helping children find what would make them succeed.
“Some children are dedicated to a single goal their whole lives, but others still have no idea even when they eventually leave school.”
Simon said he formed TutorSA to help children make the right career choices. The app not only focuses on children who are undecided about which career they want to follow, but also advises those who are sure.
While the app has been active since 2012, this year they partnered with the University of Joburg.
The tutors the university provides are students studying education. The tutors teach a variety of subjects from grades 8 to 12.
