FUTURE Nation schools have kicked off this year’s learning with a bang!

Parents and pupils were introduced to the school curriculum, which they promise will lead to the best pass rate.

SunEducation spoke to one of the parents, Thapelo Mosime, who said: “I like that the school designs its own education programmes. This means they are more relevant. Most private schools produce good results because they help to improve the way pupils think.”

The Future Nation School in Fleurhof, near Dobsonville, is one of few black-owned independent schools with a focus on African content and context.

Future Nation aims to spearhead the African education revolution by providing a model that is futuristic and technology-enabled, as well as focused on African excellence.

They have pre-primary, primary and high schools and offer a project-based learning curriculum.

Project-based learning gets pupils to design, plan and carry out extended projects. This experiential learning teaches pupils how to solve problems and apply what they’ve learnt in the real world.

The school also offers extra-curricular activities such as e-sports, soccer, netball, hockey, dancing, music, drama, public speaking, debating and community service.
