CAREER Expos for schoolkids are great!
They help parents and pupils choose careers and education institutions.
But Mzansi schools rarely organised these key events. Then in stepped the High School Career Expo.
The expo provides primary and high school pupils with opportunities and guidance to choose schools and careers.
For the older teenagers in attendance, the expo also helps youth prepare for tertiary education.
The High School Expo targets thousands of young individuals from all walks of life as well as their parents, education institutions, private sector businesses and even government officials – We are excited to be rolling the expo out all over of the country and thanks SABC Education for their involvement.” says Heidi from the HIGH SCHOOL CAREER EXPO
She goes on to add, “All primary, middle and high schoolkids and parents can learn more about public and private high schools.
This includes special programmes, extracurricular activities and admission criteria.
Potential students will be able to meet representatives from a wide range of universities, colleges and other institutions of higher learning.
They will also gain insights into and career advice from leading field specialists to better understand expectations and roles for their potential professions.
The expo offers visitors valuable knowledge needed to make educated decisions about the future through discussions and presentations.
Pupils can also learn how to get student loans and bursaries.
They can get advice on how to manage finances, should they take a gap year as well as share information with other school leavers and parents.
