SUPERSPORT United young sensation Sipho Mbule has had a bright start to the current Absa Premiership campaign.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye in Matsatsantsa a Pitori’s six matches in all competitions so far this season with his classy performances.

He is proving to be a vital cog in United’s midfield alongside his close friend and teammate Tebogo Mokoena.

The pair have also taken their impressive partnership to the SA Under-23 national team.

Mbule, who has previously been described as United’s most talented midfielder, has promised that the best of him is yet to come.

The Free State born youngster has been pleased with his early form, but believes there is plenty more where that came from.

“I’m happy with the way my season has started but I think I can still do more,” said Mbule.

“I don’t’ think you have seen the best of Sipho Mbule just yet, there is a lot more to come.

“I just need to score more goals and create more chances. I have been working hard on my final product, if I can do it more often at training then it will be easy for me to do it during the matches.”

Mbule intends to have an unforgettable season with United this campaign as he looks to help deliver silverware to the club.

They have a chance to get their hands on the MTN 8 trophy but will need to overcome a determined Mamelodi Sundowns outfit.

The second leg is set to take place at Lucas Moripe Stadium next Wednesday after the first-leg finished 1-1 at the same venue.

“As a team, we want to win trophies this season, SuperSport United is a big team that has history of winning stuff. We want to bring more success to the club this season,” added Mbule.

“We are now one step away from playing in the MTN8 final so we need to focus on winning the second-leg against Sundowns to give ourselves a chance to win the first trophy of the season.”

Just like many players, Mbule harbours aspirations of one day moving to ply his trade abroad.

But in the meantime, he is determined to endear himself to the Matsatsantsa faithful.

“I’m in no rush to go abroad,” insisted Mbule.

“I think it will come naturally, I’m not putting too much pressure on myself.”
