STILL basking in their One-Day Cup triumph, the Titans have further good news to celebrate.

This is after the cricket franchise agreed a sponsorship deal with Sporta Group.

Sporta, a UK-based Sports Agency, will help the Tshwane side in their effort to grow its global footprint.

The Titans beat the Dolphins by 135 runs to capture the One-Day at home on Sunday, continuing their dominance in domestic trophies.

They continue to produce international players, which have represented the franchise in various global competitions, including the inaugural Abu Dhabi T20.

Sporta has been key to the local franchise as seen when they organised Albie Morkel’s farewell match on home soil, against the touring Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, at Cornwall Hill College in Pretoria last month.

“As the franchise continues to expand its international portfolio and strengthen its position within the burgeoning global cricket landscape, it is vital to have the support of the Sporta Group to facilitate this process,” said Titans Cricket CEO Jacques Faul.

“I’d like to welcome Matt and his team to the Titans family, as we aim to build on an existing fruitful partnership.”

Established in 2006, Sporta has become one of cricket's foremost management and logistics specialists.

Their clients include international sides such as New Zealand Cricket, Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes, Auckland Aces and Lahore Qalandars, along with England Cricket, MCC and a significant number of English County Cricket clubs.

The Sporta name is also synonymous with events such as the ECB North-South Series, MCC Champions County Match, the Rwandan Cricket Builds Hope Tournament, the Abu Dhabi T20, and ARCH, the world's largest international schools cricket tournament.

Sporta Media completes the Group, providing creative media and digital content for clients, including touring teams, players and partner organisations.

Sporta Group managing director Matthew Jackson said: “Sporta are looking forward to the new partnership with Titans Cricket. Not only is it a privilege to be working with such a successful franchise that has a legendary player roster, both past and present.

But it also gives us the opportunity to bring commercial opportunities to our extensive range of contacts throughout the cricketing world.”
