MAMELODI Sundowns coach Pitso “Jingles” Mosimane has nice life problems!
While other coaches are struggling to put together a decent team for each Absa Premiership match, the Brazilians coach is surrounded with top class players and he doesn’t know who to leave out of his team.
Mosimane openly admitted that he now faces a big selection headache ahead of their next Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic at Dr Molelemela Stadium on Wednesday (7.30pm). This is a nice headache as the coach has plenty of options to choose from.
He made this statement after his side cruised to a comfortable 4-0 (5-2 on aggregate) victory over Congo Brazzaville side Otoho d’Oyo in the Caf Champions League preliminary round second leg match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, Atteridgeville on Saturday. Gaston Sirino scored a brace while Mosa Lebusa and Themba Zwane netted one goal apiece.
Mosimane also revealed that signing new players before the transfer deadline window closes this Saturday is not an issue as the budget at the Tshwane giants allows him to do so.
He is targeting two players ahead of the transfer deadline and one of them is believed to be Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat.
Andile Jali caught the eye of Mosimane as he admitted that leaving him out of the team in the next game after his brilliant performance will be difficult. Oupa Manyisa, Aubrey Ngoma, Lucky Mohomi, Jeremy Brockie and Emilliano Tade are also desperate for game time.
Skipper Hlompho Kekana was suspended for the Caf match and the coach has no idea if he will field him in the league as other players have made an impact.
Mosimane said: “We play in a tough league, anybody can beat anybody. We have enough players, but I have a headache which players to field at Celtic. I’m not done in the market though, I want two more signings and we have resources to go and get them.”
He added: The Congolese offered us no resistance and I’m not happy that we didn’t bury them and scored eight or nine goals.”
The Brazilians defeated Celtic 3-1 in the MTN8 quarter-final in Tshwane two weeks ago. But Downs have drawn their past two league games 1-1 against Chippa United and Cape Town City.
