Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that Siphiwe "Shabba" Tshabalala is leaving the club for Europe after a 12-year stint at Naturena.
Tshabalala is leaving Chiefs to join Turkish Super Lig side BB Erzurumspor
Shabba said he is excited about the move to Turkey.
Talking to Chiefs website excited Shabba said: “I always wanted to play overseas, in particular in Europe and I have never been shy to talk about that. It should have happened a long time ago, but I think that it’s God’s time. I am grateful that God is giving me this huge opportunity to showcase my talent in Europe.”
He leaves Amakhosi having won every domestic trophy available, and as a complete Amakhosi legend.
The midfielder joined Chiefs in January 2007 from Free State Stars.
However, he missed the first six months due to injury. As a result, Tshabalala only made his Chiefs debut against Bidvest Wits on 31 August 2007.
Tshabalala played 372 games for KChiefs, including 336 starts and 36 subs. He has scored 58 goals for the Glamour Boys, with the last one a beautifully taken free-kick against Baroka FC in a one-all draw on 14 August 2018.
