ORLANDO Pirates medical team has provided latest updates on the team squad.

On Saturday, coach Fadlu Davids revealed that talisman Thembinkosi Lorch will be out for the rest of the year.

The club doctors have since confirmed that the 28-year-old suffered a freak accident while at home, which resulted in him requiring shoulder surgery.

“The expected time for recovery of an injury of this nature is between 3-4 months,” the club revealed on their website.

Goalkeeper Richard Ofori, who got injured while on national duty with Ghana against Bafana Bafana, will miss Pirates' upcoming matc.

Ofori missed Pirates' league match when they defeated Swallows 1-0 on Saturday.

The club stated: “Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm that Richard Ofori is expected to miss the DStv Premiership clash against Chippa United. The Ghanaian International, is still experiencing discomfort and pain on the site of injury.”

Striker Zakhele Lepasa who has been out since last year December, is said to continue to undergo rehabilitation for a fracture.

With defender Innocent Maela, it's expected he'll return to full training in three months.
