CHIPPA United displayed an convincing performance on Wednesday night when they surprise Kaizer Chiefs with a 1-0 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Tebogo Moloi’s charges tarted the match on a high looking for an early goal and they managed to get it in the fourth minute of the match when Abel Mabaso convert Mark Mayambela’s cross inside the 18 area.
Chiefs nearly went 2-0 down when their former player Zitha Macheke found the back f the net, but his goal was ruled offside.

The victory saw Chippa climb the log to second position with 19 points equal to the leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, As well as Baroka and Orlando Pirates who are occupying third and fourth spot respectively.
Meanwhile PSL champions Bidvest Wits struggle in the league continued when they were held to a goalless draw by struggling Ajax cape Town at Bidvest Stadium. Wits remain the bottom of the log with 10 points after 12 matches.
