MAMELODI Sundowns have learned their quarter-final opponents following the draw which was conducted in Egypt, Cairo on Wednesday

The Brazilians were pitted against Al Ahly in the 2018/19 Caf Champions League quarter-finals.

Coach Pitso Mosimane's charges secured their place in the last eight after finishing second in Group A behind Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca while Egyptian football powerhouse, Al Ahly, booked their place in the knockout stages after winning Group D.

This will be the first meeting between the two former Champions League winners since 2007.

Sundowns will be at home in the first-leg clash on the weekend of 5 April, before travelling to Egypt to for the return leg on 12 April.

Meanwhile, the defending champions Esperance of Tunisia will lock horns with Algerian side CS Constantine in a North African Derby.

Guinea's Horoya AC, who beat Sundowns' PSL rivals Orlando Pirates to reach the quarter-finals last weekend, were pitted against Wydad Casablanca.

Five-time Champions League winners TP Mazembe of DR Congo were drawn against Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
