KEAGAN Dolly and Billiat have starred for Kaizer Chiefs to deliver a grand birthday gift to their club boss Kaizer Motaung with the sparkling performance as they beat Chippa United 4-0 at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Dolly scored twice while Billiat scored the other as Chiefs ruthlessly thumped a meek Chippa side on the day their boss Motaung was celebrating his 77th birthday.
Lazalous Kambole toe poked a fourth late in the match in the referee’s optional time to add more woes to Chippa coach Gavin Hunt, who was facing his former club for the first time since he was sacked in May.
Before the game started, Chiefs players all wore 77th shirts, an indication to thank their boss and one of the best administrators in the country.
Dolly then atoned for the occasion on the pitch as he was released by Billiat to punish the visitors with a thumping strike in the 12th minute.
It couldn’t take long for him to add the second. Though the goal might be questionable as Bernard Parker was initially offside leading to Chippa players to stop a bit, Dolly picked up the ball and danced past Chippa players before curling it in the 30th minute.
Then Dolly returned the favour to set up Billiat to blast it at the far post in the 70th minute.
Following this win, their second this season, Chiefs moved into the top eight with nine points after seven games.
The Soweto giants also ended their four match winless streak, having lost two and drew the other two.
Dolly, who was named the man of the match, said the win was richly deserved and then threw in a warning that many teams should watch out.
After Billiat and Bernard Parker curled wide from both strikes, Dolly showed them how it is supposed to be done in the 12th minute. He then turned his marker upside down before curling the ball past Watenga on the edge of the box.
Then Dolly set up with Billiat late in the second half to score the third before Kambole toe niled the final nail in Chippa's coffin to make it 4-0.
Hunt was facing his former employees for the first time since he was fired in May.
His side is now without a win in six matches now and club chairman Chippa Mpengesi looked displeased with the results in the venue.
He wasn’t helped either in attack as Phakamani Mahlambi is reportedly to be out for some time.
Hunt’s side did not offer at all anything meaningful to trouble Chiefs’ defense that was shored up to three.
