AL AHLy has confirmed that Pitso Mosimane will stay at the Egyptian giants until the end of the season.

Reports have been making rounds since the start of the week that Mosimane was on the verge of leaving the club. 

However, the Red Devils have moved swiftly to respond to the rumours with the club head of transfers and marketing, Amir Tawfik confirming on Wednesday evening that they had a meeting with the coach and he will be incharge of the club until hos contract lapse at the end of the 2021-2022 season, without any pay raise.

Tawfik also added that Mosimane did not ask for any increase in his salary as per the reportss were suggesting.

The club and Mosimane found common ground because the board are convinced the South African coach will fulfil the goals and expectations of Al Ahly fans.

Tawfiq added that the session, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, also witnessed a positive dialogue about some future matters and there was a great understanding between the two parties, and it was agreed to resolve all these matters end of the current contract, the club website revealed.
