THE message is loud and clear for Bongani Zungu... he is not
part of Bafana Bafana!
Not once but twice now, Zungu has been left out of the national team by coach Molefi Ntseki, snubbed for the upcoming friendly matches against Namibia and Zambia - set for Thursday and Sunday in Rustenburg.
But the Glasgow Rangers-bound midfielder has no qualms and has actually made peace with Ntseki’s decision.
Zungu is joining the Scottish Premiership on loan from French side Amiens, which was confirmed on Tuesday.
”For me it's clear. I'm not part of his (Ntseki) vision, part of his plans,” said Zungu.
”Perhaps I'm not good enough for his team. There are no hard feelings. I get the message and I respect it.
”So, I won't focus my energies on that. I'm going to focus on my new team and in the coach that believes in me.
”It's very nice to hear the words of coach Steven Gerrard... talking about his belief in my abilities to bring me to such a massive club.
I spoke to my family. They understand. No hard feelings.”
Zungu expressed his displeasure after being left out of the team for the Afcon qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe in March.
But Ntseki explained he had decided to give him a break since he’d recently recovered from injuries and that they were going to play on a risky artificial pitch.
Zungu is awaiting his Visa to travel to Glasgow.
But he is expecting to be there by Wednesday latest.
