KAIZER Chiefs are determined to end their trophy drought

Amakhosi, who have not won any silverware for four year, are hoping to put that right.

They booked their spot in the final of the Nedbank Cup following their thrilling 4-2 victory over Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

The Glamour Boys turned on the style against the Chilli Boys, making their intensions of winning Mzansi’s version of the FA Cup, very clear.

They will face National First Division outfit TS Galaxy in the final after they stunned Golden Arrows 3-1 in the other semi-final earlier in the day.

Amakhosi took the lead in the 36th minute when substitute Dumisani Zuma slotted into an empty goal following an error by Chilli Boys keeper Mbongeni Mzimela.

The Chilli Boys were able to draw level through their skipper Andile Mbenyane who sent a bullet header past helpless Bruce Bvuma in the 63rd minute.

They then went on to take the lead in the 70th minute via striker Lerato Manzini, however, it was short-lived as Andriamirado Andrianarimanana equalised for Chiefs just six minutes later.

The Glamour Boys then turned on the style, retaking the lead in the 84th minute through Parker.

Eventual man of the match, Billiat, put the final nail in the coffin with a goal worthy of winning any match to send Amakhosi marching into the final.
