LESS than 100 fans turned out at OR Tambo International Airport on Saturday afternoon to welcome Bafana Bafana after they were eliminated in the quarterfinal of the Africa Cup of nations (Afcon).

Bafana were dumped out of the tournament 2-1 by their rivals Nigeria after the players produced a battling display.

Samuel Chukwueze and William Troost-Ekong slotted Nigeria's winning goals while Bongani Zungu scored a consolation for South Africa.

On their arrival Bafana players were met by few cheering green and gold fans waving their flags, singing seeking photographs with the players.
