NOTICE OF INTENTION TO GAZETTE 4 PUBLIC ORDINARY SCHOOLS TO SCHOOLS OF SPECIALISATION

The Gauteng Department of Education intends to convert 4 Public Ordinary Schools to Schools of Specialisation. This establishment will be in the best interest of Education as these schools will be: 

  • Responding to the skills needs of the province
  • Providing learners with multiple curriculum packages, which will broaden the scope of choice when proceeding to Higher Education Institutions and the workplace
  • Contributing to the development of the future generation of leaders 
  • Enhancing the economic development goals of the Province in line with the GPG’s Transformation, Moderation and Re-industrialisation strategy
The table below depicts the List of Schools to be converted to Schools of Specialisation:

The Gauteng Department of Education invites the community and interested parties to submit representations regarding the proposed conversion of the schools within 90 days from the date of publication to:
