FOR the past few weeks I’ve written articles on economic freedom in the hope that readers turn the tide.
I received comforting messages. Send us testimonies on how the teachings impacted your financial decisions.
This is my final edition on the subject, but I’ll host more seminars. Thank you to all who attended our first at the Manhattan Hotel yesterday.
In today’s edition I hope to encourage readers to build systems that generate wealth.
Proverbs (6:6-11) says: “Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider its ways and be wise.
“It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
“How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from sleep?
“A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest. And poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.”
Ants are small and fragile but wise. They build systems that ensure sustainability during scarcity. The Bible urges us to learn from them.
In summer and harvest they gather and store food. They’re mindful of the future. Lazy people, when scarcity comes, lose all they worked hard for.
Solomon (Proverbs 20:13) says: “13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor. Stay awake and you will have food to spare.”
