MARRIAGE WAS GOD’S IDEA TO HELP SOCIETY

accreditation

Marriage is one of the ancient universal covenants created by God to fulfil His eternal dream of establishing a universal family.

In the coming weeks I will explore this most important aspect of human society. The major focus will be on biblical marriage, the original intent and the perfect will of God.

Of course there are different perceptions of marriage generated over time. Most of them deviate from the original purpose for which the creator intended marriage.

Marriage has never been man’s idea. He first man, Adam, did not realise his need for a partner. He was in the Garden and busy with his daily business. Then God called a meeting with His divine counsel where He announced that “It is not good for man to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18) It t was God who saw the need for marriage.

God originated marriage and determined the conditions and the legal framework for marriage. Without this important marital principle, it is not possible to enjoy his precious union between man and his woman.

Deviation from the biblical laws that regulate the holy matrimonial covenant has led to countless marital failures and increased divorce rates. Every manufacturer creates a manual to guide users. So it is true with marriage.

When it is operated outside God’s divine manual, the Holy Bible, the marriage loses its warranty. We need to study God’s word to understand the institution of marriage. In the next weeks I will explore the divine principles enshrined in His word. It is my intention to equip our readers with the right knowledge and understanding of these timeless marriage principles to build sustainable families.
