Why do some adults believe people with millions never have problems? I mean really, are you 12?

Also, why do those who actually have millions think they are better when they can’t even levitate?

I’ve heard adults say they’d rather be miserable in a mansion than happy in a shack.

Shame, idiot! What happened to self-love or exposing your kids to peace and stability? Hun, no one has everything, nor is money the only source of happiness.

If it were, the Gupta brothers would be living it up and “president” Kabila would look different. Think of all the collaborators of poverty-creation and you’ll see the gods will never give you everything.

Consider the prominent stylish who lack substance, men who can’t even shield their wife from an abusive nyatsi.

What about the self-proclaimed chosen few, who have stolen millions in the bank, but have a barren womb.

Remember Miss New Money, happiness is only accessible when your life comprises various slices of the pie, not just the money slice. With money only, you can afford the best cars and die in them. But with money and kindness for others, you have a chance of dying in peace too.

Look, I’m sure most of you don’t realise you could be happier if you were less shallow. Here are signs that you think you are better because you have more money than your parents ever dreamt of.

  •  You are shallow if you assume the poor are lazy.
  • When you have to have the most expensive item in the room, assuming it will change your status.
  • You consistently treat folk around you badly, as you think it’s how the wealthy behave.
  •  You post pictures of yourself giving the poor food.
  •  You demand your worldly possessions be acknowledged on social media or claim envy.
  •  You forget wealth existed before you discovered it.
  •  You flaunt wealth as if you are dying because you aren’t sure of its longevity.
  •  You believe hard work entails bragging.
  •  You show your followers your new car, but not the papers of ownership.
  •  You would rather have no food at home than not wear the correct designer labels.
  • Yes, money changes people who were economically denied it. But it shouldn’t rule your world and have you relying on it solely for happiness.
