Two cops killed in truck accident!

A CRASH has claimed the lives of two cops in the early hours of this morning.

The cops, aged 37 and 40, were stationed at Cato Manor detective branch in Durban.

A truck allegedly failed to stop at the robot on Edwin Swales Drive, colliding with a police vehicle.

The cops died at the scene.

KZN police spokeswoman Colonel Thembeka Mbele confirmed the incident.

Mbele said a case of culpable homicide was being investigated by Bellair cops.

“It’s alleged that at 4.30am, two police officers stationed at Cato Manor detectives were driving on Edwin Swales Drive when their car was struck by a truck that failed to stop at a set of robots. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated,” said Mbele.
