ANOTHER taxi boss has been slaughtered in cold blood.

The taximan, who is of the leaders of the Vaal Wits Taxi Association, was chased down by a white Mercedes-Benz in the early hours of Wednesday, 24 November.

According to a witness, the man lost control of the taxi when he was hit by multiple bullets and crashed into a rock. The Mercedes-Benz stopped and the shooters got out of the car and completed the merciless assassination.

Speaking to Daily Sun, the witness said he was sitting at a shack when the incident happened. “We normally park near the road with a street vendor from our hood.

“When the car was chasing down the killed man, the shooting started right in front of our eyes,” he said.

“I think the man was shot because his taxi lost control and drove into a rock on the side of the road. Then the shooters exited their car and shot the man at close range,” he said.

Another witness said when the assailants stormed out of their car, leaving the door opened with high calibre guns in their hands, a blue detective’s car was approaching the scene.

“The cops stopped and when they saw the man with guns, they then drove off and went for cover.

“Just after the shooting they came back to the scene. They didn’t follow the suspects’ car,” he said.

When the SunTeam was at the scene, the family of the killed taximan arrived. They couldn’t speak to the media and asked not to be interviewed. Bystanders stood in the sun as the man was removed by a forensic pathologist van after several hours of investigations.
