DESPITE testing positive for Covid-19, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe is doing just fine.

This was according to his wife, Dr Lydia Meshoe, who spoke to Daily Sun.

“We have a miracle-working God. Reverend Meshoe is very well, despite testing positive for Covid-19.

“Still no symptoms of what's spoken about and self-isolation is treating him well, as he needs rest.”

With the lockdown underway and its strict restrictions in place, Dr Moshoe said her husband misses church and as he can’t be with his congregants, he will keep in touch with videos he will be sending them.

“As always, the family is upholding the reverend in prayer, and making sure his favourite meals are cooked for him.

"Our household is positive. Having been involved in politics for so many years, we have naturally encountered many trials before. So, we are at peace and praying fervently for the Lord to defeat this.

“We appeal to South Africans to keep the focus on positive news, pray and to take the lockdown seriously. Until we slow down the rate of new infections, we will not be able to get back to work, school, and church.

“Many depend on the cash earnings from selling vegetables or amagwinya on the street and will go hungry if the lockdown continues too long,” she said.

Reverend Meshoe was part of the people who attended a church service in the Free State where there were people who tested positive for Covid-19 over a week ago. Media reports on Sunday revealed that over 60 people at that church had contracted Covid-19.
