It's a week into the national lockdown and Rustenburg appears to be adhering to the lockdown.

The Rustenburg CBD was almost empty throughout the day. Most streets were deserted. Many who were on the roads were heading to groceries shops.

The Police, traffic officers have been out in full force ensuring that residents adhere to the lockdown.While most shops were closed. Those in queue for to buy groceries practiced social-distancing.

People were wearing masks and gloves to show that they are indeed taking this very serious. Most of the streets are eerily quiet. 

South African Defence Force arrived in Rustenburg today. To ensure safety adn that people are adhering to the lockdown. Under one of the strictest lockdown. No jogging outside, no sales of alcohol or cigarettes,no leaving home except for essential trips and prison or heavy fines for law-breaking.
