LAST month, Daily Sun wrote about a sangoma who wore money like a suit.

And over the weekend, sangoma Sibusiso “Mkhulu” Mathe went one step further!

Over two days he handed out cash at Khayelitsha mall in Cape Town on Friday and continued the next day.

“After my story was published, I received many calls from people who wanted me to help them,” he said.

Mathe said he started a community radio station in 2000 and Fsucceeded because of the same people he was again thanking with cash.

“In order to make money, you have to give money,” he said.

Khayelitsha resident Nokuphiwa Tshotsha (57) said she was happy to receive money.

She said: “I had heard people talking about him but I never met him. I got R1 400!”

She used the money to buy groceries.

“My family will be surprised when I come home with the groceries,” she said.

Lindelwa Kerneels (47) received R1 400 and her husband got R700.

“We came here to be healed. We never expected to get money,” she said.

They got the money for being the oldest couple at Mathe’s place on the day.

“We are grateful for this because it shows he is not chasing after money.”
