ACDP members want to live in a country where kids are educated to be responsible adults, with values to raise strong families.
The party marched to the basic education department offices in Tshwane on Saturday against what it said was the radical sexualisation of school children.
Led by party president Kenneth Meshoe, hundreds of members took part in the march.
Linda Yates of the party said government promoted what they referred to as comprehensive sexuality education, which taught children and young people they had to be sexual to be normal.
She said sex education attacked parents’ opinions and religious principles and promoted gender confusion, promiscuity, pornography and even prostitution.
“The ACDP would like government to abandon its plans of introducing sex education to schools.
Meshoe said over-sexualised children would not fulfil their potential at school or at work.
“Rape, sexual assault, promiscuity and teenage pregnancy will increase.” He said the department denied grade 4s would be taught masturbation in Life Orientation but the curriculum would be guided by the UN.
“The department should not import sexual behaviour programmes from UN agencies that will corrupt our kids.”
He said they expected a response from the department by 30 August.
