PEOPLE who engage in sexual acts in public spaces are likely to be charged with public indecency.

But despit this, cases of public indecency are reportedly on the rise in Malawi.

Cops have since threatened to jail anyone found having sex in a car.

According to Malawi24, the warning comes after cops registered several cases of car sex in Blantyre over the past two weeks.

Police spokesman James Mbale told the local media that most cases involved men and magoshas.

“Instead of going to lodges, people are having fun with sex workers in cars. Note that this is illegal, and anyone found will be arrested,” Mbale said.

He said cops had registered cases in which men were robbed of valuable items while having sex with women in their cars during late hours.

“Some of the items stolen from such people over the past two weeks include cars, laptops and phones.”

The publication reports that cops have recovered two cars that were stolen from men while they were having sex with women. Two suspects were arrested in connection with the criminal acts.
