President Cyril Ramaphosa says the Nigerian president’s State visit allows the two countries to strengthen relations.

Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari is in South Africa following the recent xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals in Johannesburg.

It’s reported that Buhari’s three-day state visit was planned before the attacks on foreign nationals and looting of their shops happened.

At least 12 people were killed during the violent looting spree, following that South African shops were also looted in Nigeria – including the likes of MTN and Shoprites shops.
