A CAR crash has left three teenagers dead and two critically injured in Brackendowns, Ekurhuleni.
According to Ekurhuleni emergency services spokesman, William Ntladi, a driver lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a huge tree in Letaba Street.
“Two sustained serious injuries and were transported by ambulance to medical facilities,” said Ntladi.
When the rescue team arrived, five patients were scattered across the street.
“Three were unfortunately declared dead at the scene and two others were treated before being driven to Union Hospital in Alberton and Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus,” he said.
“Apparently, they were from Thokoza on their way to Ekurhuleni West College in Brackendowns.”
Ekurhuleni Metro police were investigating.
