IN ORDER to make sure that they take advantage of lower prices this Friday, people woke-up as early as possible to try and be first in the queues.
This is because it was a Black Friday!
Several people woke up and stood in the long queues to buy cheaper prices.
Daily Sun spoke to a few people at the Value Centre in Durban in the early hours of the morning of this busy day.
Samkelisiwe Ntombela (25) said: Today is a busy day for me. I woke up at 4am and I'm going to do my shopping. I will go to different shops but I started at Nike store because I want to buy takkies for myself and my daughter."
She said she had saved money for this big day.
"I'm just going to buy clothes only. I will not buy food and other things," she said.
And Nombuso Mdletshe (44) from Ntuzuma north of Durban said she wants to buy takkies.
She said takkies are very expensive and that’s why she woke up to go and stand in the long lines.
"I will buy takkies for my son and nephew. I hope I get the nice ones as well when I get inside as there are so many people ahead of me," she said.
