"I WISH you die a slow and painful death,” was the death wish for the killer or killers of Mpho Makondo (8) and Simphiwe Mgcina (6) from Orange Farm, who died last week.

So said Mpho's gogo Morgina Malatji in her letter read during their funeral service at Orange Farm Multipurpose today.

The letter said: "Death is painful. The pain you've caused cannot be measured. You the killer, you've killed me while I'm still alive. You've taken what I love so much, my gift. Farewell my little angels, may your little souls rest in peace, you will always be in my heart till we meet again. As for you the killer/s, I wish you die a slow and painful death. You have ripped my heart into pieces."

Joburg MMC of public safety Margaret Arnolds once again delivered the keynote address at another funeral for young children. She said: "It pains me because it is the third time I'm standing here. It is the third time that we are saying enough is enough.

How much is enough and how long is it going to take us to get this enough done? I've become tired of standing next to the coffins of little children who had a beautiful bright future.”

"I'm tired of seeing mommies and daddies crying and picking up their children who had not died of a sickness from God, but because of someone who decided to play God."

Arnolds took a jab at the police, who had promised they would arrest the person responsible for the death of Ansia Kheha (3) in June, but to this day, there still hasn't been any arrest.

She said: "When we were last here, they committed that they would arrest those who have killed Ansia. There has been no arrest made in the Ansia case. The perpetrator is still running loose and at large."

The two young children who were killed last week were laid to rest  after their naked bodies were found in their kasi the day after they were reported missing.
