WHEN he woke up at 5am and walked around the yard yesterday, he made a shocking discovery.

There was a pigeon with muthi bottles, beads and a sangoma’s cloth.

Godfrey Mnguni (60) now suspects someone is after him.

But the unshaken Godfrey said God was his protector.

Speaking to Daily Sun at his home in Tembisa in Ekurhuleni, he said: “What I saw is the work of ubuthakathi.

“But I don’t fear anything because the man above is the driver of our lives.

“Whoever wants me dead will never win.

“It’s clear that someone, somewhere wants to see me dead or to have problems. They must fetch their pigeon.”

He said he didn’t fear anything and would pray.

Resident Nokuthula Mkhize (58), who saw the pigeon, said it might be there to kill people.

“People do bad things and harm others.

“What if this pigeon harms children? We don’t know what it was sent here for.

“I doubt it’s even a bird because it’s been in one place the entire time.”

Sangoma Dungamanzi said the pigeon was a symbol of witchcraft.

“People are silly. They worked that pigeon to cause harm in that family. That’s an act of evil spirits.

“He’ll need to sprinkle muthi on the pigeon before moving it.”
