The case against Mpumalanga multimillionaire Sam ‘Mshengu’ Chabalala has been postponed to 3 December.

Chabalalala made a brief appearance in the Witbank Magistrates Court on Friday where the magistrate postponed the matter for further investigations.

Chabalala who was dressed in a semi-casual look, appeared to be calm and his supporters and his wife were nowhere to be seen.

He was with his lawyers.

The 23-year- old who is believed to be a Zimbabwean national tied the knot last weekend.

He was arrested in September at an eatery in Highveld Mall.

Chabalala is accused of trying to bribe home affairs officials with R40 000 during his arrest.

He is charged with fraud, corruption, contravention of immigration act, unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The owner of Sam Holdings made headlines when he led a convoy of his 72 expensive cars to the Durban July event.

Magistrate Henrietta Engelbretch postponed the case to 8 December for further investigation.
