PHINDILE Mbele (36) has been mourning her daughter since Saturday and when she called for help, Prophet Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng stepped in.
The single mum from QwaQwa, Free State, was broken when she heard her daughter Musa had died.
She’d sent Musa (8) and her sister Moleboheng (12) to fetch water. “I was called to the river, where they were searching for my child. After a while, two men came out with her body. What happened could have been prevented if the municipality had provided us with basic services.”
Phindile said she had no means of burying her child as she was unemployed and she and her kids were about to be evicted.
She said she hadn’t paid school fees and the kids didn’t have uniforms or shoes.
“We’re also struggling with water as we prepare to bury Musa.”
When Phindile told Mboro of the Incredible Happenings Ministry, he offered to bury Musa and pay her sister’s school fees.
On Tuesday, Mboro got a Jojo tank so the family could get water during funeral arrangements.
He also offered to build them a house and give Phindile a job.
Mboro said: “I trust the Lord will provide for me so I keep my promise.” He said he’d visit the family today to see how else he could help.
“I plead with residents to open the roads so the girl can get a dignified funeral.”
Musa will be laid to rest on Saturday.
