MPUMALANGA police have launched a manhunt for a gang which has been robbing petrol stations in Acornhoek since the easing of lockdown regulations.
In the early hours of this morning, a petrol station in New Forest Village was robbed by the gang at gunpoint before bombing a cash safe.
They fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to police, the robbers could be the same people who bombed cash safes at Lillydale Trust and Marite earlier this month.
Mpumalanga police spokesman Brigadier Leonard Hlathi said Mhala detectives were investigating a case of business robbery after an unknown number of suspects robbed a petrol station at New Forest Village, outside Thulamahashe in Bushbuckridge.
Hlathi said a 57-year-old security guard was attacked by the suspects.
“They were reportedly armed with firearms and bombed a drop safe. They took undisclosed amounts of cash.
“They fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and a manhunt has been launched for suspects who go around robbing petrol stations.
