FINALLY, Gabola Church has its own song.
Pope Tsietsi Makiti said he heard a song on the radio that suited his church perfectly.
He decided to make it the church anthem and ordain the artist behind it.
Lucky “3Kota” Nkosi (30) from Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga has agreed to join the church.
Siyab’tumpa by Lucky featuring Mr Tee & Drake Omnyama was released in March.
But Makiti recently heard it and met with Lucky on Friday in Orange Farm, south of Joburg.
Lucky told Daily Sun he’s been looking forward to meeting Makiti.
“I’m joining the church,” Lucky said.
He’s planning to work with the church leader on his upcoming albums.
“The song gives us direction. The congregation is happy to have a new member and we have a new song”, said Makiti.
He said Lucky will be ordained and find a tavern ekasi and convert it into a church.
“He’ll be the pastor. We can’t wait for him to be in our service. I’m over the moon,” he said.
Makiti said they had been looking for such a blessing.
Archbishop Jack Motloung said Lucky will be baptised with alcohol.
“I’m pleased to have a man of his calibre in our church” he said.
Makiti said they drink alcohol and worship God at Gabola Church.
