FIVE PEOPLE QUARANTINED IN ALEX AS THE KASI RECORDS ITS FIRST CORONA VIRUS CASE

ALEXANDRA kasi has a confirmed corona virus case.

The kasi in the north of Joburg follows Cape Town's Khayelitsha were yesterday a case was also confirmed.

Gauteng Health department confirmed in a statement and that five  people have also been qaurantined.It reads: : "Five  ware currently under quarantine after being in close contact with a confirmed case.

The confirmed case, tested and was instructed to remain under self isolation while awaiting results.Upon positive confirmation of results, our team of tracers working with law enforcement agencies tracked the confirmed case to Limpopo. He had disregarded an instruction and travelled outside of the province last week before the lock down. He is currently under isolation in a health facility in Limpopo.All known close contacts have already been identified, tested and are in quarantine pending results. Our tracing team will continue to work on the tracking and tracing of other possible contacts."

The SANDF and other law enforcement officials have been heavily present in Alex since the start of Mzansi's 21 day lockdown on Friday.
